‘I wish not to go back from Gulmarg’
Gulmarg December 12: Bollywood film actor Arjun Rampal who concluded his web series shooting here is smitten by the beauty at Gulmarg and Pahalam and sumptuous Wazwan.
The dashing actor was shooting at popular tourist resorts Pahalam and Gulmarg for his new project The Final Call by ZEE5 productions which is a web-series based on Priya Kumar’s best-selling novel ‘I Will Go With You’.
Arjun plays a role of a pilot in the series who is also close friend with a Kashmiri boy.
Arjun who was in Gulmarg on Tuesday and Wednesday said Kashmir is the best place for shooting.
“Every place here has a magic and as i was looking out from the balcony of my hotel, i got so much engrossed into the beauty that lot of ideas came to my mind about shooting here in Gulmarg. Kashmir is a God’s wonderful gift which everyone should visit,” he said.
Arjun said he was eager to visit Kashmir after watching old movies of Raj Kapoor, Shami Kapoor, Amitabh Bachan shot at many beautiful locations in Kashmir.
He said the shooting schedule is not affected here as every place can be set for shooting.
“If we select one place for shooting and for some reason we want to change it, we can do it at any other place. Whole Kashmir provides a beautiful backdrop. I have travelled most part of the world world and then when i visited Pahalgam, i forgot every other place and came to realize that Pahalam is the best place on Earth. Then when i visited Gulmarg today, i realised every inch of Kashmir is best place. Gulmarg fascinated me even more. Now as i have to leave back today, my wish is to stay here only and not to move back,” he said.
The actor also cherished Kashmiri Wazwaan at Pahalgam and requested for more at Gulmarg.
“I tasted Wazwan especially Rogen Josh at Pahalgam. It was so tasty that i told one of the local guys to bring me Rogan Josh. His name is Khan and he got me Rogan Josh from home. I cherished the local cuisine fully and people are also very friendly and welcoming.”
The actor also took to twitter to post snowfall shot at at Gulmarg from his hotel.
“I believe bollywood should come here more and showcase the beauty this place offers to the world.”
He advised locals to join acting schools to get entry into bollywood.
Notably, the department of tourism has been making every effort to attract bollywood and other filmmakers to Kashmir. It has also made single window clearance for the shooting schedule for hassle-free permission to the line-producers.
